Ukraine Government Has Tender

At a meeting of the Government it was decided to provide the Unemployment Insurance Fund with an additional UAH 2972 billion to pay unemployment benefits on a non-refundable basis.The government is doing everything possible to save jobs. But the reality is that quarantine measures have a negative impact on the labor market and the number of unemployed is increasing. In order for people to receive assistance in a timely manner and to the extent provided by law todays decision of the Government on additional funding is extremely important - commented the Minister of Trade Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Igor Petrashko.It will be recalled that by the decision of the Government of April 27 of the current year financial assistance to the Unemployment Insurance Fund in the amount of UAH 1277 million was provided for the payment of unemployment benefits. To date financial assistance in the amount of UAH 1198 million has been received which is 94 of the planned amount. This allowed the timely payment of unemployment benefits for April-May.It should be noted that at the time the Government provided financial assistance the number of recipients of unemployment benefits exceeded last years figures by 43. 78 more people receive unemployment benefits compared to last year.
