Minister Uralo?lu, who made statements at the opening ceremony, said, “Last Friday, we held the official openings of the Ayd?n-Denizli Highway, yesterday the Konya Ring Road 2nd Section and the Kayseri Airport New Terminal Building with the presence of our President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an. Today, we are opening the Korkuteli-Elmal? Road in Antalya. We have made a very strong start to 2025.”

Antalya Leads Agricultural Exports
Minister Uralo?lu stated that Antalya is known not only for its turquoise sea and tourism based on historical and cultural assets, but also for the fruit and greenhouse activities in its fertile lands fed by the sun's smile for most of the year. Stating that the fruits and vegetables grown here are not only consumed in the domestic market, Uralo?lu emphasized that they are also exported to many countries around the world, making a significant contribution to Turkey's economy and promotion. Uralo?lu said, "In fact, it is one of the top cities in our country that exports agricultural goods."

Stating that Antalya has a special place in the eyes of AK Party Governments, Uralo?lu continued his words as follows:
“For this reason, we have always been very closely interested in Antalya’s investments, needs and projects. We have implemented many projects to develop Antalya’s agricultural, tourism, industrial and commercial activities, whether or not we have the municipalities, whether or not they vote for us. In the last 23 years, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we have created a storm of services by knitting Antalya’s transportation network knot by knot. We have made the lives of both our citizens and tourists easier by connecting all four corners of the city with the modern transportation systems we have built.”

214 Billion Investment in Antalya's Transportation and Communication Infrastructure
Minister Uralo?lu, who stated that they have made an investment of 214 billion 181 million liras for the transportation and communication infrastructure of Antalya, said, “We increased the length of divided roads, which was 197 kilometers in 2002, to 743 kilometers, and increased the length of BSK paved roads, which was 123 kilometers, to 1,068 kilometers. We opened the Antalya Western Beltway. We built the Ba?köy, Korkuteli, Kiri?çiler and Isparta Intersections on the Antalya Northern Beltway. We completed the Mediterranean Western Coastal Road as a divided road. We put the Phaselis Tunnel into service within the scope of the Antalya-Kemer-Tekirova-Finike Road.”

Work Continues on 26 Separate Highway Projects
Uralo?lu emphasized that they have strengthened the transportation of tourism paradise towns of Antalya such as Demre, Finike, Kumluca, Kemer, Ka? and Kalkan, and made the following statements in his statement:
“We opened the 5,000-meter-long Demirkap? Tunnel, which is the most important crossing point of the north-south axis connecting Antalya to Konya. We ensured that the Taurus Mountains separating the Mediterranean and Central Anatolia can be crossed in just 4 minutes with the comfort of a tunnel. We built the Alanya-Ku?yuvas?-Ta?kent Road Tunnels. We also opened the K?z?lkaya-Antalya Road, Antalya-Alanya Gazipa?a Road, Kumuca-Finike Road, Demre City Crossing, Ka? Ring Road, Kalkan City Crossing, Akseki Connection Road, K?z?lcada?-Elmal? Road, Konakl?-Güzelba? Road and Antalya City Hospital Connection Roads.”

Length of Antalya-Alanya Highway is 122 Kilometers
Minister Uralo?lu, who reminded that they signed the contract that started the construction of the Antalya-Alanya Highway in October, said, “We will soon start the construction by laying the foundation. We have designed our highway to be 122 kilometers long, 84 kilometers of which is the main body and 38 kilometers of which is the connection road.”

Uralo?lu stated that the Antalya-Alanya Highway will meet the increasing travel demands due to tourism, especially in the summer months, in a fast, comfortable and safe manner and will also serve the trade and agriculture sectors in the region, and said, “Since the traffic density spread throughout the year will decrease significantly thanks to the highway, this will provide tourists and our citizens with a more comfortable and stress-free travel opportunity. Being able to reach more points in a shorter time will allow tourists to spend more time in the region and discover different destinations. It will contribute to the economy of the region by increasing tourism diversity. It will also increase new employment opportunities by leading the opening of new tourism facilities.”
