This summer, ProRail will be carrying out work on the track between Zwolle and Meppel over three weekends. As a result, no trains run between Zwolle and Meppel at the following times: Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12, Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 17, Saturday 5 and Sunday, September 6.
ReisadviesNS will deploy replacement buses during the work. Travelers can use these buses with their NS ticket. At the stations, signs and employees indicate the correct walking route to the bus stops. The adjusted timetable has been incorporated into the NS Journey Planner and the NS app. Travelers are therefore advised to consult the NS Travel Planner before departure and to take additional travel time into account.
The workProRail uses the work to renew the track between Zwolle and Meppel and keep it future-proof. For example, railway gravel, sleepers and rails are replaced. ProRail also renews parts and copper cables that are sensitive to theft. More information about the work can be found on the ProRail website.
