THE seventh and final day of the 27th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2026 was held at designated venues in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, with competitions in singing, dancing, recitation and instrumental music.
Contestants representing different regions and states competed in patriotic song singing, ethnic and rural traditional dances, verse recitation and instrumental performances featuring the Saing (traditional ensemble), Myanmar harp, xylophone, guitar and donmin. They showcased their skills in preserving and promoting Myanmars traditional arts and cultural heritage across different education levels and age groups.
The final day events were enjoyed by the Union ministers, senior military officers, high-ranking officials, departmental staff and families, and enthusiasts.
