π Tender Overview
With the objective of informing about the works and the process of liberation of the domain strip, a group of 14 sellers of honey and products derived from Ita participated in a meeting promoted by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and the Rutas del Mercosur S.A. Consortium, executor of the PY01 route modernization project. On the occasion, the entrepreneurs raised their concerns and learned details about the expropriation procedure planned for the properties and the actions to be developed in that context. The activity is part of the meetings that both institutions hold with residents of the intervention areas, in order to explain the characteristics of the works and guide those who could be affected by the release of land. In Ita, the 14 women sell honey and its derivatives in a sector located within the strip corresponding to the road section. The exchange allowed us to strengthen the bond with the entrepreneurs and provide them with clear and timely information. The MOPC and Rutas del Mercosur reported that they will continue with these spaces for participation and listening with the residents of the areas reached by the venture, maintaining close support during the different stages to guarantee respect for the rights of all the people involved. Improvement of 108 kilometers The Design, Financing, Construction, Operation and Maintenance project of the PY01 route contemplates the intervention of 108 kilometers between Cuatro Mojones, in the Central department, and Quiindy, in Paraguari, in addition to the conservation of the road for 30 years through a Public-Private Alliance (PPP) contract. Among the main works planned is the duplication of the Ytororo-Paraguari section, in addition to overpasses, variants and collectors that will speed up circulation, reduce travel times and improve the connectivity of this important road corridor. The modernization of the route also seeks to generate better conditions for economic and logistical development, with direct benefits for users and populations settled in the area of influence of the highway.
