Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tamar Ioseliani met with the representatives of the French Embassy in Georgia and discussed with them the cooperation of the two countries in the field of transport and logistics. At the meeting, the parties focused on deepening cooperation in such directions as land and sea transport, civil aviation, safety at sea, sustainable shipping, railways, etc.
Tamar Ioseliani provided the representatives of the French Embassy with detailed information about the progress of the construction of the large transport and logistics infrastructure of Georgia and the governments vision for the development of the Middle Corridor. Special attention was paid to such projects as Anaklia deep-water port, railway modernization project, East-West highway, etc. The parties discussed the possibility of more French companies being interested in Georgia. The parties also talked about deepening cooperation in the field of civil aviation, which will contribute to the growth of passenger flow, as well as relations in tourism and other sectors of the economy.
