THE Myanmar Highway Freight Transport Services Association held a workshop to develop the transport and logistics sector, strengthen public-private cooperation, and modernize and advance it.
The workshop took place on 14 September at the Chatrium Hotel in Yangon. It was attended by the director-general and officials from the Department of Transport Planning (DOTP), officials from the Myanmar Transport and Logistics Federation (MTLF), and representatives from seven affiliated associations.
The discussions covered cooperation with DOTP, implementing GMS-CBTA, cross-border transportation procedures, the systematic issuance of Logistics Service Provider (LSP) licences under the Multimodal Transport Law, and promoting the countrys Logistics Performance Index (LPI).
The governmental departments and these affiliated associations will reportedly continue to work hand-in-hand for the modernization and development of Myanmars transport and logistics sector.
