Following the opening of the Concierge Waiting Room at Hualien Station in August last year, the first Taiwan Railway Concierge Waiting Room in the northern part of the country was officially unveiled at Nangang Station today.
Nangang Station is an important transportation node in the north, in addition to the Taiwan Railway, high-speed rail, MRT, national highway passenger transport and other transportation equipment, close to the greater Taipei area and Songshan International Airport, it is also a must for passengers from the south to the north. Taiwan Railway Company, together with Lion Group, invested 10 million yuan to build the first concierge waiting room in Northern Taiwan, providing travelers with a rest space before departure, so that waiting for the bus can also become a kind of enjoyment.
The design concept of the Nangang Station Concierge Waiting Room starts from the "VIP Room is an Art Museum", and the corridor regularly displays internationally renowned artworks, and continues the local culture, integrating the elements of Nangang's past tea country, so that passengers can not only fully experience the fusion of modern art and traditional culture, but also taste the profound heritage and exquisite meals of Taiwanese tea. In addition, various lectures and music exchange meetings will be held from time to time to provide a communication space for surrounding business people.
From now on, all passengers who hold a same-day Tengyun cabin ticket (including a mobile ticket) or present their Taiwan Railway membership number can enjoy a 9% discount on all meals. The combination of railway sightseeing and concierge waiting rooms can provide passengers with more diverse, comfortable and culturally rich travel options. Through the two concierge waiting rooms in Nangang and Hualien, as well as peripheral transfer and various service functions, it fully combines local characteristics and develops regional economy, and then uses rail trains to connect them in series to form a line of East Taiwan Rail Sightseeing Corridor and give full play to the comprehensive effect of regional hub. In the future, the Taiwan Railway Corporation will successively launch the Xinwuri and Xinzuoying concierge waiting rooms to provide a full range of more complete railway tourism services.
