Companies that used the summary procedure to settle short-time work compensation KAE in 2020 and 2021 can submit a request for a review of their KAE entitlements for this period. Due to a decision by the Federal Council a share of holidays and public holidays can be claimed for employees in the monthly salary. From July 7 2022 companies can submit corresponding applications via eService on the arbeit.swiss portal.According to the judgment of the Federal Supreme Court of November 17 2021 a holiday and public holiday share must be included in the calculation of the KAE in the summary settlement procedure for employees on a monthly wage. The Federal Council therefore decided on March 11 2022 that companies can apply for additional payments from KAE for the years 2020 and 2021. Parliament approved the corresponding supplementary credit in the 2022 summer session.As announced in March the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO is now providing a technical solution for backpayments From 7 July 2022 SECO will be offering an offer on arbeit.swiss the unemployment insurance portal ALV and public employment services an eService for electronic input. The registration required for this can take place immediately. Applications can be submitted online until October 31 2022.From the end of June the companies concerned will also be informed by letter from SECO about how they can submit an application and what information needs to be submitted.To support companies SECO offers an information line for additional payments KAE with a contact form and telephone hotline.
