📋 Tender Overview
The working visit will include a meeting with General Markus Laubenthal, Chief of Staff of NATO's Allied Command Operations (ACO), and a briefing by operations officers on the current and future challenges facing the Atlantic Alliance in Europe. During his visit, the Chief of Operations Command will also meet with the Swiss Ambassador and the Swiss Permanent Mission to NATO.
The ACO, housed in the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), is one of NATO's two strategic military commands responsible for planning and leading the military operations of the Atlantic Alliance. The visit of the Chief of Operations Command, which takes place as part of the general strengthening of the Swiss Army's relations with its international partners, offers an opportunity to consolidate the long-standing relations between Switzerland and the Atlantic Alliance. This type of cooperation strengthens the Army's defense capabilities and ultimately Switzerland's security.
