Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Yuri Karaev held a reception of citizens in Svisloch.Most of the requests concerned rental housing - a topic that had been discussed the day before at a meeting with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
One of the applicants was a mother of many children from the agricultural town of Kornady.The woman asked to improve the living conditions of her family - her husband works on the farm as a machine operator.She was offered help in repairing the attic floor and assistance in gasification. The governor commented on the situation: Rental housing is an important tool for retaining workers, and only the management of the agricultural organization and the housing commission decide which employees to provide such housing.In this situation, the director of the farm agreed to help a large family equip the attic floor for living quarters and get it documented; we will also help supply gas, summarized Yuriy Karaev. Another resident, an elderly woman from Bolshaya Berestovitsa, raised the topic of acquiring ownership of the rental housing she occupied.They explained to her the procedure for purchasing such housing and noted that at present there are no legal grounds for transferring the housing she occupies into ownership. All questions were considered on their merits, people were given full explanations. Commenting on the results of the reception, Yuri Karaev noted that the issues of rental housing were discussed at yesterdays meeting with the Head of State. A very large percentage of rental housing is that which, after non-privatization by citizens until 2016, became classified asrentalA large share of it is in rural areas, in agricultural towns and villages.As a rule, it has very different consumer qualities.At the meeting, there was a proposal to transfer these issues to local authorities for decision, said Yuri Karaev.
