Superintendent Pavel Ruiz participated in the inspection action in which nine infractions were detected.Within the framework of the intensification of control actions to land transport services throughout Peru, the Superintendence of Land Transportation of Persons, Load and Merchandise (Sutran) led a multisectoral megaoperative against informal land transport and compliance with road regulations in the Arequipa region.
With the participation of the Superintendent Pavel Ruiz Cueva, the inspectors of the Decentralized Unit (UD) reached kilometer 832 of the Panamericana Sur, in the District of Mariscal Caceres, province of Camana, where they made a total of 103 interventions to vehicles that provided the passenger transport service, of goods and hazardous materials.
This action allowed to detect a total of nine infractions, including those of Code S.2.A (3), for not having fire extinguishers in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation; C.14 (1), for not having a special category drivers license; T.13 (1), for the use, by the carrier, of drivers who do not have the drivers license that corresponds to the category of the vehicle that transports hazardous materials and waste, among others.
Together with the Sutran staff, an entity attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), personnel from the National Police of Peru (PNP) participated: Traffic Unit and Road Safety and Roads; The Provincial Municipality of Camana, the National Superintendence of Migration, the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) and inspectors of the Arequipa region.
Actions intensify
At the beginning of its management as the highest authority of the Sutran, Superintendent Pavel Ruiz Cueva announced that the institution will intensify the control of land transport services throughout Peru, to guarantee respect for road standards and user safety.
This through high -impact megaoperative nationwide; Supervision to vehicle technical inspection centers (CITV), driver schools and medical centers; scrap of vehicles used in unauthorized transport and the acquisition of a new vehicular fleet for the support of the operations.
From January 1 to July 31, Sutran carried out 4895 national operations, in addition to 44 in informal garages, imposed 2446 minutes F.1 for providing unauthorized service, retained 1878 filming plates and 1805 licenses, hospitalized 402 vehicles and closed 32 non -authorized garages.
