The father of Mrs. Nguyen Minh Chau (Phu Tho) died, her mother was born in 1969, living with her younger sister born in 1971. Ms. Chau asked, could her mother be involved in voluntary social insurance? On this regard, social insurance in the XVIII area answered as follows: Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 2 of the Law on Social Insurance No. 41/2024/QH15 dated June 29, 2024 Voluntary Social Insurance includes: a) Vietnamese citizens aged 15 years and older are not subject to compulsory social insurance and are not those who are entitled to pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances; b) The object specified at Points a and b, Clause 1 of this Article is temporarily postponing the performance of labor contracts, working contracts, except for the two parties with compulsory social insurance.
