📋 Tender Overview
Work is in the demolition and excavation stageThe Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML) has been carrying out structural reinforcement on the 53-meter-long Conchan Bridge, with the aim of recovering its load capacity and passability, which will allow this infrastructure to be preserved and improve vehicular access to the Panamericana Sur, benefiting 200 thousand residents.
The Conchan Bridge, one of the main accesses to the Lurin district, presents significant deflections (deformations) in beams, deterioration of the deck, approach slabs, columns and abutments, as well as oxidation of the reinforcing steel.
For this reason, through the Municipal Company to Support Strategic Projects (Emape) - a body attached to the MML -, the demolition of the damaged slab and excavations in the abutment area (south-north direction) have been carried out, with a progress of 18%.
The first stage of the work consists of geotechnical, structural and topographic studies along with an intervention in the substructure with the reinforcement of abutments, pillars and retaining walls, removal and replacement of side railings, restitution of slope in abutments and horizontal and vertical signage.
The second stage will be in the superstructure with the reinforcement of the bridge beam, repair of the slabs, sidewalks, head beams and deck joints, restoration of the asphalt in slabs, rehabilitation of expansion joints, installation of gratings and drainage ducts, among other actions that will allow the busy Conchan bridge to be completely renovated.
