In compliance with its constitutional mission, the Armed Forces ensure the conditions of order and protection necessary for citizens to exercise their right to vote with confidence. This deployment contemplates security inside the voting locations, the protection of personnel and electoral material, facilitating the free movement of the population throughout election day.
Military actions are conducted under comprehensive operational planning by the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, articulating the capabilities of the Peruvian Army, the Peruvian Navy and the Peruvian Air Force, in close coordination with the Peruvian National Police and State agencies, guaranteeing an organized, simultaneous and effective response throughout the national territory.
The presence of the Armed Forces strengthens the institutions of the State and reaffirms Perus commitment to respecting the sovereign will of its citizens.
