January 27 The State Defense Council Approved The 2026-2030 Operational Strategy Of The Second Department Of Operational Services Under The Ministry Of National Defense (Aotd Under The Ministry Of Defense). Aotd, Which Is Responsible For Military Intelligence And Counter-Intelligence, The Most Important Goals Set Out In The Strategy Are Timely Warning Of Emerging Threats, Prevention And Elimination Of Them. Lithuanian Military Intelligence Constantly Monitors The Security Situation In Lithuania And Warns The CountryS Decision-Makers About Emerging Threats, Identifies And Prevents Acts Of Sabotage And Sabotage. The New Strategy Guidelines Enable Us To Develop The Most Advanced Intelligence Technologies, To Respond Flexibly To The Changing Geopolitical And Security Situation, And To Ensure Successful Operations In Various Conditions. One Of The Strategic Directions Is Greater Attention To Our Intelligence Officers And Employees, Who Are Very Important In Order To Fulfill The Tasks Set For Us, So We Will Continue To Strengthen Leadership, Competences And The Community, Said Aotd Director Col. The Directions Of Activity Are Formed Taking Into Account The Changing Geopolitical Situation, Growing Activities Of The Intelligence And Security Services Of Hostile States, Accelerating Technological Progress And The Changing Legal Environment. The Increasing Scope Of Tasks Forms Implementation Of Priorities And Other Technologies That Will Ensure, For Example, Work With Large-Scale Data. In The Implementation Of Planned Tasks And In Order To Strengthen National Security, Aotd Will Continue Cooperation With Nato Partners, Intelligence And Security Institutions Of Friendly States.
