📋 Tender Overview
An incident in the software or computer system of the Chamartn interlocking -of Alstom technology- has determined ADIFs decision to maintain traffic with very restricted flows at said station until operational safety conditions are guaranteed. The incident which affects the control command and signaling subsystems has been identified as a result of the work for the commissioning of the new tracks 9 9B 10 and 10B of the Chamartn Clara Campoamor Station.ADIF works with the technologist who owns the interlocking software technology Alstom to resolve the incident and restore service in the shortest time possible. This incident will affect practically all of the Madrid Cercanas lines with the exception of line C-5 Mstoles El Soto Atocha Humanes the most used line in Spain. In this line normality is expected. In the rest given that they all pass through or start service in Chamartn there will be significant changes in the service. Nor will it affect the international gauge tracks and the AVE Avant and Alvia services that use this infrastructure. This situation has led Cercanas de Madrid to coordinate with Metro de Madrid and the Regional Transport Consortium measures that will allow it to deal tomorrow and as long as the problems remain with the increase in demand that will be produced by the transfer of passengers from Cercanas to the Metro and buses both intercity and those of the EMT.Thus Renfe recommends commuters using the Cercanas de Madrid to take alternative transport to get to their place of work or study and to obtain information through all available channels. In this sense the company has already strengthened the information channels at stations by telephone 912320320 and through social networks especially the Twitter Personalized Alerts system and the Twitter accounts @CercaniasMadrid and @InfoRenfe. Users will also be able to obtain information on the progress of the resolution of the incident through @InfoAdif @Adifes and the Adif app.Information points for the media will also be reinforced with special attention to radio stations to offer them all the detailed information. The incidence of Chamartn also affects Long Distance and Medium Distance Iberianconventional gauge trains. These are the Intercity Madrid-Almera which will go by bus to Vilches and the Media Distancia trains that link Madrid with Jan Albacete Soria and Zaragoza. In these cases Renfe will have buses and will additionally arrange for the departures of these trains to be made from Aranjuez in the case of Jan and Albacete or from Alcal de Henares Soria and Zaragoza stations that will be connected by buses with Chamartn until the incident is resolved. For their part the Santander-Alicante and Gijn-Castelln trains will transfer by bus between Chamartn and Atocha. For these services by having a Personalized Ticket and passenger data Renfe is reporting the incident by SMS and mail to those affected. In case of abandoning the trip Renfe will allow these travelers to change or cancel the ticket free of charge.
