On Cerro Caacup paving works continue for the rehabilitation and expansion of route PY02 from km 46 to km 48 Pedroso. The interventions consist of the milling of the existing layer and subsequent extension of the rolling layer in both directions ascent and descent of Cerro Caacup department of Cordillera.With respect to the variant the Ministry of Public Works and Communications MOPC and the Municipality of Caacup celebrated the concretion of an agreement that aims to establish the acceptance of both parties of the modification of the link of said variant as socialized as well as agreeing on the construction of a new return at Km 61.2 and transferring the planned return at km 60.6 to Km 63.9.All these actions are part of the duplication and expansion project of the PY02 route which already has 102.2 km enabled for traffic thus reaching an overall progress of close to 77.2 of the planned total.Currently the tasks carried out by the Specific Object Company SOE - Rutas del Este are verified in five sections which are Section 1.1. From km 40.5 to km 49 Section 1.2. km 59.2 to km 73.7 Caacup variant Itacurub de la Cordillera bypass and Coronel Oviedo bypass.This is the concretion of the largest public works contract in the history of Paraguay under the modality of Law No. 510213 of Public-Private Partnership APP and the first to be executed.
