The Council of Ministers at its meeting and at the proposal of the Ministry of Transport Mobility and Urban Agenda Mitma has authorized the conclusion of a contract for the conservation and operation of a sector of the State Road Network RCE in the province of Cceres with an estimated value of 26.3 million euros excluding VAT.The duration is three years with the possibility of a first extension of two years and an additional one of a maximum of nine months.This contract intended for a total of 209.6 km of roads including 90.7 km of highways is part of Mitmas road maintenance program to maintain circulation road and safety conditions in the State Road Network ensuring that it is accessible in the right conditions to all citizens.Action will be taken on sector No. 3 which includes the following roadsA-66 Autova Ruta de la Plata. Several sections between the kilometric points PP.KK.507600 and 598300 highway508050 and 508450 service road590460 and 591080 service roadN-523 Cceres-Badajoz between PP.KK. 1312 and 37042 conventional road.N-630 Gijn to Port of Seville. Several sections between the PP.KK.515000 and 546398 conventional road546398 and 556500 conventional road549150 and 549645 service road549490 and 550500 service road549150 and 598145 conventional roadIn addition this contract incorporates two specific projects of small works necessary to improve the functionality of the trackSurface rehabilitation of the firm on the N-630 road between the PP. KK.515000 and 542000.Surface rehabilitation of the firm between the PP.KK. 3500 and 20000 and installation of vehicle containment systems between PP.KK. 3500 and 37000 on the N-523 road.Characteristics of the new conservation modelThe new model of service contracts for the execution of conservation and operation operations aims to offer a comprehensive mobility service to the user improve the state of the road and network and optimize public resources.Through them works are carried out to help roads and ordinary maintenance of roads to allow the infrastructure and its functional elements to have the best possible traffic and safety conditions. Actions are included such as surveillance and attention to accidents and incidents winter roads tunnel control and communications service maintenance of facilities establishment of inventories and recognition of the state of the road agenda of information of status and programming aid to operation and studies of road safety and maintenance of the elements of the road with adequate levels of quality.This new model reinforces the orientation towards the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs to which Mitma is committed.
