Representatives of the Development Bank of Latin America CAF met this Monday with the Minister of Public Works Eng. Rodolfo Segovia to discuss the jointly executed projects and the new disbursements planned for this year which are around USD 250 million.It is a protocol visit the first since Eng. Segovia assumed the position of Minister of Public Works and Communications.On the occasion Joel Branski CAF representative mentioned that they discussed several issues related to the loan portfolio both works in progress as well as future programming.On this last point he said that the entity is preparing to disburse USD 250 million this year and that the objective is to continue supporting the MOPC with new operations.We are anticipating a new loan called Vial 4 which would be for the department of Concepcin and we are working with the MOPC to define the details in addition to sanitation operations that are approved and depend on Parliament said Branski.He added that the meeting with the Secretary of State was very productive since he has been working with them from previous years in other capacities which allows better progress in the negotiations.
