π Tender Overview
Adif will allocate more than 3 million euros to the removal works of two level crossings, located in the Cantabrian municipality of Santa Cruz de Bezana on the Oviedo-Santander metric gauge line.
The steps have automatic semi-barriers and light and acoustic signals and are located 500 meters and 900 meters, respectively, from Bezana station.
The solution contemplates the construction of an overpass over the railway line for vehicles and pedestrians, which will be located in the vicinity of the current level crossings. Likewise, a new road will be built that will link the overpass with the current roads.
The works include the adaptation of security facilities and the replacement of railway communications and other services, as well as the installation of a new fence once both steps have been removed.
The works, integrated in the Plan de CercanΓas de Cantabria, will increase the reliability and safety conditions of the transport infrastructure, both for pedestrians and for rail and road traffic.
These actions contribute to the achievement of different Sustainable Development Goals: ODS 3 (Health and Welfare), ODS 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and ODS 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
