π Tender Overview
In order to assist my countrys textile industry in accelerating the promotion of digital manufacturing and introducing net-zero carbon reduction measures, the Industrial Development Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs held the 115-year Textile Industry Plan Briefing Session of the Industrial Development Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs at the Textile Building today (27th). Relevant legal entities will explain various guidance The project focus and application method focus on the two main axes of smart manufacturing and net-zero transformation. Through equipment networking and the introduction of digital operations, the textile industrys production efficiency and supply chain integration capabilities will be improved, while helping industries implement carbon reduction actions to respond to the net-zero transformation trend.
The Industrial Development Department stated that the key to future competition in the textile industry lies in the introduction of digital technology, smart manufacturing and sustainable recycling into production lines and operation management systems. In order to respond to the needs of industrial development, the Industrial Development Department has combined with legal entities such as the Textile Industry Comprehensive Research Institute, the Textile Industry Development Association, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and the Footwear and Sports and Leisure Technology R&D Center to integrate cross-domain professional coaching energy and introduce AI, computer networking, and key process technologies to assist the industry in accelerating upgrading and transformation.
In terms of smart manufacturing, the plan will guide textile-related industries to introduce technologies such as equipment networking, digital management and cloud databases to achieve production information visualization, equipment failure prediction and flexible production scheduling, improve overall production efficiency and reduce operating costs; and with order-receiving manufacturers as the core, promote the supply chain manufacturer collaboration model, assist small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce lean management and digital tools, optimize product design, production process and operation management, and enhance the overall supply chain collaboration ability and quality stability.
In terms of net-zero transformation, in line with the sustainable development requirements of international brands, the plan will help industries build carbon reduction capabilities from four major aspects: raw material substitution and recycling, process optimization, equipment optimization and energy optimization. It will also drive supply chain manufacturers through brand suppliers to introduce low-carbon technologies, strengthen carbon inventory and energy management capabilities, and enhance the industrys overall competitive advantage under the net-zero transformation.
Under the guidance of the Industrial Development Department, in order to strengthen its brand design capabilities, the handbag manufacturer Zhiyi Industrial transformed from traditional manual pattern making to digital design, and used stocked yarn to develop low-carbon products to accurately respond to the needs of Europes green supply chain. The sock knitting company Yingjie Xinye has introduced process optimization and digital management, transformed from the OEM model to develop its own brand, and entered the mid-to-high-end market through differentiated products, getting rid of traditional price competition. Taiwans first maternity-themed tourist factory, Fengpeng Clothing, has introduced AI and 3D virtual try-on technology, allowing users to easily change and mix clothes, driving repurchase by old customers and expanding the source of new customers, boosting revenue growth. Little Garden Shoe Store, famous for its handmade shoes, combines century-old embroidery techniques with digital technology and enhances the support and comfort of shoes, which has won praise from the Japanese, European and American fashion markets.
The Industrial Development Department emphasized that in the future, it will continue to use multiple policy tools and cross-domain cooperation to help the textile industry develop towards high value, intelligence and sustainability.
