71 contracts for the implementation of small projects, whose total value exceeds EUR 1.4 million from the European Regional Development (ERDF), were signed under the program for cross-border cooperation. Signed 71 contracts for small projects within Interreg Slovenia-Croatia.
With co-financing, the Interreg Slovenia-Croatia program supports the organization of events for strengthening mutual trust, which will have a positive impact on the residents of the cross-border area of Slovenia and Croatia. The main purpose of these projects is not to attract tourists or the general public, but to strengthen the mutual trust and understanding of the people living in this space and the promotion of their relationships.
Certified projects are extremely diverse and cover many areas of cooperation, such as connecting firefighting societies, cultural and artistic initiatives, heritage protection, ecological initiatives, sports activities and promotion of local gastronomy.
The implementation of these projects will further strengthen the bonds between the residents of the border areas, which contributes to the sustainable development and the more connected the future of both countries.
