The ministry of natural resources and spatial planning has published a proposal for the plan for the implementation of the spatial development strategy of slovenia 2050 for the period 2025-2034 on the edemokracija portal.
The ten-year plan represents a commitment to achieving the goals and priorities set in the strategy, so it is important that it is professionally and interdepartmental coordinated before being considered by the government.in 2023, the national assembly of the republic of slovenia adopted the resolution on the spatial development strategy of slovenia 2050 (sprs 2050), and the ministry of natural resources and spatial planning then, in accordance with the provisions of the spatial planning act, in january 2024 began preparing a plan for its implementation. the plan, adopted by the government, defines the priorities and responsible bodies for implementing the strategy for individual areas or activities for a ten-year period.
we included all relevant stakeholders in the process of preparing the plan from the very beginning. other ministries also actively participated with their proposals. we held a series of coordination meetings, and in may 2024, a public consultation on the implementation of the spatial development strategy 2050. representatives of other interested publics and organizations (educational institutions, professionals, non-governmental organizations, regional development agencies, municipalities) also participated in the latter with additional proposals, remarks and comments.
the sprs 2050 implementation plan represents a commitment to achieving the set goals and priorities. therefore, before formally submitting it to the government for consideration and adoption, we have previously submitted it for informal interdepartmental consideration.
the draft sprs 2050 implementation plan for the period 2025-2034 will be published on the edemocracy portal by 10 january 2025.
