πŸ“„ Tender ID: 506556532 πŸ“… Published: 26 Jul 2024

πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

As part of the Digital Decade policy program, the Best Practices Accelerator was launched, which is a strategic framework aimed at facilitating the exchange of best practices between EU member states. For each of the key areas, a leading member state is designated, which, among other things, also leads and coordinates the group discussions. The "Digital Skills" group is led by Slovenia, with the cooperation of the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Finland.

The Best Practice Accelerator initiative stems from discussions at the Digital Decade Committee meetings and aims to stimulate joint problem-solving, inspire innovative strategies and help overcome structural challenges to achieve the EU's digital transformation goals by 2030. Each of the key areas has a designated lead Member State leading and coordinating group discussions, gathering feedback on each component by coordinating working groups established through the IT tool, leading workshop discussions and presenting their findings at the Digital Decade Committee meeting.

The proposed Best Practices Accelerator will serve as a catalyst for joint progress; it will provide a platform for sharing best practices, fostering innovation and fostering cooperation in solving common challenges such as cyber security, the digital divide and sustainable digital infrastructure. This synergy at EU level is key to avoid duplication, exploit the different expertise and experience of Member States and ensure inclusiveness so that digital benefits are accessible in all regions.

The collaborative framework of the accelerator should not only streamline the approach to digital transformation, but also support the effective implementation of digital policies. Its aim is to promote a dynamic and flexible process that is constantly improving and responding to new challenges.

In the initial phase of the accelerator's operation, the focus is on three pilot groups, which present challenges and propose solutions for achieving the specific goals and tasks of the digital decade.

The "Digital and Green Transition" section is led by France, with the participation of Finland, the "Business Technology" section is led by Belgium, with the participation of the Netherlands, and the "Digital Skills" section is led by Slovenia, with the participation of the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Finland.

At yesterday's introductory meeting, Slovenia presented our approach to strengthening digital skills. "We emphasized that our goal is broader: that we want to provide every resident with the opportunity to participate in the digital world, from which they will benefit concretely. Therefore, we are not only strengthening digital skills, but digital inclusion, which, in addition to skills and knowledge, also means ensuring access to the necessary equipment and tools, strengthening confidence in the advantages of digital transformation and active social inclusion," said the head of the Department for Digital Inclusion at the Ministry of Digital Transformation Mojca Ε truc. As she further explained, the representatives of other member states and the European Commission were impressed by the approach of Slovenia and the ministry, and are looking forward to Slovenia's leadership in this area.
