With the approaching Easter holidays, the interest in travel is increasing. The occupancy rate of the busiest trains as of Monday 25 March is around 75%. Traditionally, free seats are spent mainly on express trains and InterCity (IC) trains on the Bratislava β KoΕ‘ice route, but also on interstate express trains from KoΕ‘ice to Mukachevo.
The most busy are the current connections to the metropolis of eastern Slovakia on Wednesday 27 March, namely the afternoon expresses Ex 611 and Ex 613, and Thursday 28 March the morning express connections Ex 603 and Ex 605. Some interstate trains to Ukraine are already sold out.
The Railway Company Slovakia (ZSSK) recalls that during the Easter holidays it will strengthen transport by 27 trains, of which 5 express trains and 22 express trains. At the same time, the carrier will increase the capacity of 20 InterCity trains by 28 air-conditioned carriages. ZSSK advises passengers to secure their ticket and seat reservation in advance. They can do so online via ZSSK e-shop, mobile application Let's go by train, or SMS ticket. Thanks to this, they avoid waiting in lines at cash registers.
