Sunass and the Regional Directorate of Education of Junin join forces to guarantee safe water in schools.The National Superintendency of Sanitation Services (Sunass) and the Regional Directorate of Education of Junin (DREJ) signed a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation to promote joint actions that promote access to safe water, health education and the responsible use of the service in educational institutions in the region.
Through this alliance, Sunass will implement its School with Safe Water Educational Program, which includes the training of teachers, students and administrative staff, the monitoring of water quality, the cleaning and disinfection of reservoirs, the training of brigadiers and the development of educational material to strengthen the culture of water in the educational community.
For its part, the Regional Directorate of Education of Junin will promote the participation of educational institutions and will recognize, through resolutions, the performance of teachers and schools that stand out in the Educational Program, the Gota de Oro National School Contest and the teaching refresher course promoted by Sunass.
The agreement will allow prioritizing the attention of educational institutions that have the greatest needs in their sanitation services and contribute to protecting the health of thousands of students, strengthening environmental education and training citizens committed to the care of water and the responsible use of sanitation services.
