π Tender Overview
ESG digitalization in Russia is moving to a new level: although the Russian market for digital ESG solutions is still taking shape, major companies are already modernizing internal processes and offering clients AI agents in the field of sustainable development. Artificial intelligence is used not only for reporting preparation but also for managing energy consumption, climate risks, land conditions, and biodiversity. Sber believes the next stage will be the transition to creating comprehensive modular AI solutions for sustainable development. The Bank is already transforming its approaches to ESG digitalization and actively integrating AI agents into operational processes. For example, Sber has automated the collection and consolidation of the Groups ESG data via the COSMOS IT platform, implemented a four-tier AI-driven ESG risk classification in the lending process, and introduced ESG scoring across more than 30 metrics, as well as forecasts of climate events for 6 and 12 months. Thanks to the widespread use of artificial intelligence models, as well as the digitalization of assets and their integration into a large-scale real estate monitoring and management system, Sberbanks total energy consumption decreased by 24% in 2025. At the same time, the digitalization of the sustainable development agenda extends beyond the Banks own operations. For instance, the GeoAI platform is a suite of Sbers AI models for geospatial analytics, designed to address challenges related to adaptation to natural changes and environmental protection activities. The solution covers tasks in the agro-industrial sector, food security, and environmental protection. The tool helps government agencies and companies obtain an objective view of territory conditions without regular field visits, analyze trends, and forecast changes to support data-driven management decisions. By mid-2026, the technology had been tested in 10 regions, and since late February, 12 regional pilot projects have been launched.
