π Tender Overview
Exactly 98 years ago, on September 15, 1925, the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR adopted a resolution βOn approval of the Regulations on the Standardization Committee under the Council of Labor and Defense.β The committee became the first central standardization body in our country. His activities marked the beginning of state management of standardization and metrology, the modern history of Rosstandart, closely connected with the history of the country.
Consistently defending the interests of the industrial complex for almost a hundred years, Rosstandart was responsible for meeting the needs of enterprises representing all sectors of the economy. During the most difficult period of the Great Patriotic War, despite all the difficulties, the bodies of the All-Union Committee of Standards contributed to improving the quality of manufactured weapons and military equipment. State standardization made a huge contribution to the Great Victory, demonstrating its significance and the progressiveness of the documents adopted. During the war years, more than 2,200 new state standards were approved and 1,270 existing ones were changed.
The range of powers of the department is very wide - the Rosstandart system has been using the tools of standardization, metrology, supervision and control for 98 years to solve problems on a national scale. Significant successes in improving the procedures for developing standardization documents make it possible to respond as quickly and flexibly as possible to innovative changes in various sectors of the economy, and full-fledged metrological support for industry helps to increase the pace of not only import substitution, but also import advance.
Currently, in the field of state primary standards, the Russian Federation has acquired complete import independence. Assembly, installation, launch and adjustment of the standard, as well as the development of software for controlling the measurement process and processing measurement results, are provided by Russian specialists. Along with this, 96% of standard sample types are produced by domestic enterprises.
The first chairman of the Standardization Committee, Valerian Kuibyshev , noted in 1925 that βstandardization work should not only go at the same pace as the national economy, but also be ahead of it.β Now in our country, advanced standardization is again in demand, helping to achieve technological sovereignty, quality and competitiveness of manufactured products.
