The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has established the procedure for introducing amendments to the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of toys", which will come into force on November 26 of this year.
Certificates of conformity of toys with the requirements of the technical regulations, issued before the amendments came into force, will be valid until their expiration date. During the period of validity of the said documents, it is permitted to manufacture and release toys into circulation. The circulation of such products is permitted during their service life or shelf life.
Changes to the technical regulations "On the safety of toys" were introduced by the Decision of the EEC Council on May 14, 2024 No. 50.
As part of the changes, the document includes clarifications, the need for which was established based on the practice of its application. In addition, the technical regulations have been supplemented with new terms, such as "aromatized toy", "stuffed toy", "rattle", "set for developing taste skills (taste set)" and a number of others, as well as requirements for new types of toys. These include board games for developing the sense of smell, taste sets and some others.
