The Rostelecom company in the Sverdlovsk region will organize video surveillance of the main period of the Unified State Exam (USE), which will be held from May 23 to July 5, 2024. The provider's specialists use 3,258 CCTV cameras installed in 1,629 classrooms.
The online broadcast will be conducted from 162 examination points (EP). Observation of passing the Unified State Exam in an offline format will take place at 10 points. Rostelecom will ensure that records are stored on a special server in a data center until March 2, 2025. Online video from classrooms will be broadcast to a special portal.

“Since 2014, our team has been providing educational institutions with a video surveillance system for the Unified State Exam. This year we updated communications in 245 classrooms, installing modern equipment there. New software and hardware systems also appeared in 106 classrooms in the Sverdlovsk region. An infrastructure based on IP cameras allows you to improve the quality and reliability of data transmission. All installed video devices support high image resolution and transmit high-quality sound. They are located in such a way that the Unified State Examination participants, the place of printing, scanning and layout of examination materials are visible.”
Violations during exams will be monitored by observers, as well as behavior analysis technology using an artificial neural network. Algorithms based on machine vision technologies will view the online video stream daily. The system is configured to detect suspicious behavior of exam participants: the use of prohibited items (communication equipment and cheat sheets) and the removal of test materials.
