π Tender Overview
Synterra Media, a digital partner for the industry of production, processing and delivery of media content, is transferring the National Media Network to Russian equipment. Acceptance tests of domestic adaptation equipment "Agat" for transmitting professional TV signals over IP networks have been completed.
Agat is a completely Russian solution for delivering media content, developed by Stream Labs in partnership with Synterra Media. The equipment is made on the basis of FPGA β programmable logic device (PLD). Unlike hardware-software systems (SHCs), FPGA-based equipment has higher performance and increased reliability.
The developed solution is the main element of the Synterra Media National Media Network for broadcasting the country's largest sporting, social and political events live on federal television channels. The equipment will also be used to deliver TV programs to the networks of TV operators in the regions and inter-studio exchange of the country's largest TV channels. Agat will improve network reliability by supporting SMPTE 2022/7 standards and will reduce delays in the delivery of TV streams when using the JPEG-XS codec.
General Director of Synterra Media Grigory Urev:
βWe are actively cooperating with Russian developers as part of the creation of a national technological media platform for TV production, and Agat is only the first sign. The implementation of this solution on the Synterra Media National Media Network is a serious step towards technological sovereignty of the media industry. The solution was presented at the Rostelecom stand at the CIPR exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod.β
