In Russia, from January 1, 2025, the minimum wage will increase by 16.6%, to 22,440 rubles, which will also cause wage growth in the country, recalled Olga Daineko, an expert of the NIFI project of the Ministry of Finance of Russia “Moifinansy.rf,” in a conversation with the RIA Novosti agency.
She emphasized that the monthly salary for a full working day cannot be less than the established minimum wage.
Therefore, increasing this indicator will cause a revision of the salaries of Russians whose work is currently paid in an amount lower than 22,440 rubles.
