📋 Tender Overview
Rostelecom, together with OS Group, will replace Network Resource Inventory (NRI) class systems operated by telecom operators with domestic solutions. The project was presented at the plenary session of the ICC “Mobile Communications” and “Fixed Communications” at the CIPR-2024 forum.
After the departure of foreign suppliers of OSS solutions, the industry faced the task of import substitution. A fundamental component of any IT landscape of a telecom operator are products of the Network Resource Inventory class, designed to account for network infrastructure. To solve this problem, Rostelecom chose OS Group as a partner, which is a leading developer of OSS/BSS products and owns the Equipment Manager (NRI) and Sceptor (intelligent event correlation) systems.
The project includes two areas: the implementation of a technical accounting system in Rostelecom based on the Equipment Manager (EqM) product and the development of EqM on the domestic technology stack for use both within the group of companies and for other telecom operators in Russia.
Senior Vice President for Information Technologies of Rostelecom Dariy Khalitov:
“Working with domestic NRI is of high strategic importance for telecom operators. The project includes independent implementation using solutions from our subsidiary OS Group, which are already successfully used by leading telecom operators. We are focused on its successful implementation in the Rostelecom network and our subsidiaries. We are also actively working on refactoring the product to adapt it to work on a Russian database, in parallel with its implementation in our infrastructure.”
The new solution will be compatible with the main Russian DBMS (Postgres Pro, Pangolin) and operating systems (ALT Linux, RedOS and others). Rostelecom plans to migrate the system to the Platform V Pangolin DBMS from SberTech.
General Director of OS Group Dmitry Zuev:
“We are grateful to Rostelecom for choosing our company as a partner in such an important project for the industry to create a platform for accounting the operator’s infrastructure that meets the requirements of import substitution. We are confident that our experience and knowledge will allow us to implement all our plans and release a domestic solution at the global level. We hope that the new product will be in demand not only in Russia, but also on the international market in friendly countries.”
