Rostelecom continues to expand the geography of providing broadband Internet access using GPON (“fiber to the home”) technology in the Vladimir region. From March to mid-May, the provider’s specialists connected another thousand households located in the private sectors of eight settlements in the region to the Network [1] . Thanks to this, digital services have become available to residents of almost two and a half thousand private homes.
Pavel Shatokhin, director of the branch of PJSC Rostelecom in the Vladimir and Ivanovo regions:
“Since the beginning of the year, the company’s specialists have already connected about five thousand private houses in 16 settlements to the Network. This is almost half of the planned annual construction volume. We regularly receive requests from residents to provide optics to their villages, villages, towns. Whenever possible, we try to satisfy all requests. High-speed access qualitatively improves the standard of living and contributes to the development of regional business.”
Nikita Egorov, resident of the Vyaznikovsky district:
“We have a fairly “advanced” village: gas, a good road, and now also high-speed Internet. As soon as I found out about the possibility of connection, I immediately called Rostelecom and filled out an application. I chose the “Family” service package, which included Internet access at very good speed, interactive TV and mobile communications for the whole family. Now our family is digital. Paying with one invoice for all services is a convenient thing!”
