Rostelecom provided a video surveillance system to the Unified State Exam points in the Kaliningrad region. 832 cameras were installed in 416 classrooms, which support high image resolution and transmit sound. They are located in such a way as to cover all examinees, the numbers of their workstations located in the organizers' audience, as well as the processes of printing, scanning, laying out and packaging examination materials. At the same time, the personal data of Unified State Exam participants is not included in the review.

“For Rostelecom, organizing video surveillance of state exams is already a traditional and responsible task. The system is being improved every year; today the data is processed using artificial intelligence, which studies the behavior of Unified State Exam participants and helps identify violations. The video stream from cameras is transmitted only via secure optical communication channels.”
The main period of the Unified State Examination in 2024 will last from May 23 to June 21. Russian language and mathematics remain compulsory subjects. According to the Ministry of Education of the Kaliningrad Region, the most popular elective subjects were physics and social studies. They were chosen by about three thousand graduates. Starting this year, graduates will be able to retake one of the Unified State Exam subjects before the end of the university admissions campaign.

“This year, about 17 thousand schoolchildren completed their studies in the ninth and eleventh grades. More than five thousand people are registered to participate in the Unified State Exam, of which four and a half thousand are graduates of the current year, 522 graduated from school in previous years. We used the Rostelecom exam video surveillance system for the first time in 2014 and immediately noted its advantages - the process became more transparent. Video recordings help to objectively resolve possible disputes and disagreements.”
In total, in Russia, to monitor the progress of the Unified State Exam, Rostelecom specialists installed two modern IP cameras in each room where final tests are taking place - a total of 127 thousand devices. The Unified State Exam is taken in 88 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 77 examination points in foreign educational organizations on the basis of embassies, consulates, and military units in 54 countries.
