Rostelecom built optical communication lines and installed base stations in 11 districts of the Voronezh region. Now residents of 20 settlements 1 can use mobile communications and wireless Internet using 4GLTE technology. Thus the digital provider has completed the annual plan for the second stage of the project to bridge the digital divide DDC 2.0.Rostelecom has been implementing this state task together with the Russian Ministry of Digital Development since 2014. As part of the first stage of the UCN project Wi-Fi access points were organized in 14000 settlements with a population of 250-500 people. In April 2021 the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and the provider signed an agreement according to which the company will have to organize mobile communications in villages and villages with a population of 100 to 500 people. In total by 2030 mobile communications and Internet access using LTE 4G technology will appear in more than 24000 settlements.
