Rostelecom provided digital services to the sanatorium of the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery "Dubki". To connect services, the company laid about 10 km of communication lines from the gigabit channel to the end equipment. The provider's specialists installed 49 Wi-Fi points, mounted 66 interactive TV set-top boxes and organized a virtual PBX for 60 phone numbers.
Vyacheslav Dobrynin, director of the Samara branch of Rostelecom:
“Up to 60 users can connect to each Wi-Fi point within a radius of one hundred meters from it. All rooms are equipped with telephones for communication within the sanatorium and set-top boxes for watching interactive TV. Thus, we have fully provided the social facilities of the Novokuibyshev Oil Refinery with digital services.”
To protect customer data on the Internet, the operator organized a closed wireless network for official use. The staff was able to quickly process requests for room reservations, conduct electronic document management and reporting. When holidaymakers arrive, sanatorium employees create vouchers, enter guest data into them, and automatically generate a login and password to access Rostelecom’s digital services.
Plant workers and their family members can communicate, watch entertainment programs, films and TV series on the territory of the health facility. Patients have access to 76 broadcast, entertainment and business channels, including in HD format. Each program is accompanied by a built-in description. You can use the recording, pause and rewind functions.
