Rostelecom equipped all classrooms with a video surveillance system for the Unified State Exam (USE) in the Kurgan region, which started on May 23.
The provider's specialists installed 618 digital cameras in 309 classrooms. All devices operate on the basis of artificial intelligence technologies. The online broadcast is conducted from 37 educational institutions in the Trans-Ural region and the regional information processing center.
Video from classrooms will be broadcast online to the video surveillance portal “Watch the Unified State Exam” , to which up to 15 thousand accredited specialists and public observers can have simultaneous access. To improve reliability, data is also recorded to the hard drive or local memory card installed in each camera. Video recordings of the Unified State Exam will be stored in Rostelecom data centers. The maximum shelf life is until April 1, 2025.
Andrey Kocherov, director of the department of education and youth policy of the Kurgan region:
“The most popular subject for 11th grade graduates is traditionally social studies; 1.5 thousand schoolchildren chose it. In second place are history and biology; about 600 children will take each of these subjects. Computer science and physics have become no less popular this year, which is certainly encouraging. Among the innovations is the possibility for graduates to retake one subject of their choice on July 4 and 5. In this case, the first result will be canceled, even if it is better than the next one. Therefore, before deciding to take such a step, you need to carefully weigh your strengths and capabilities.”
All digital cameras involved in the project support high video resolution and transmit high-quality sound, and also provide the necessary viewing angle. The frame includes the Unified State Exam participants, as well as the place where exam materials are printed, scanned, and laid out. At the same time, the personal data of schoolchildren, the contents of completed registration forms and answers remain confidential.
