π Tender Overview
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has determined a list of goods that cannot be sent by international mail.
The list was developed in order to update the EAEU law in the field of customs regulation and will work synchronously with the rules of the Universal Postal Union, without replacing them.
Recently, the turnover of goods purchased on electronic trading platforms and online stores, and, accordingly, sent by international mail, has increased significantly. At the same time, the absence of a unified List had a negative impact on the conditions for doing business and created certain risks when sending such goods, including by individuals.
The EEC decision in one document defines an exhaustive list of goods that cannot be sent by international mail by all categories of persons, which creates transparency in this matter.
Before the adoption of the List, the shipment of goods in international mail was regulated, together with the acts of the Universal Postal Union, the Decision of the Customs Union Commission of August 17, 2010 No. 338 (for legal entities) and the national legislation of the EAEU countries (for individuals).
The adopted Decision invalidates the Decision of the Customs Union Commission dated August 17, 2010 No. 338 βOn the peculiarities of sending goods in international mail.β
