Rostelecom presented an intelligent system for weight and dimensional control of vehicles in Kurgan. The main task of the system is to ensure the safety of the roadway: it automatically detects excess weight and size of vehicles, and transmits the data to the traffic police for response measures. The checkpoints also record other violations of traffic rules.
The event took place on May 29 on Lenin Square as part of a review of the involved forces and means of structural units that are part of the Interregional Territorial Administration of Rostransnadzor in the Urals Federal District.
Today, in the Trans-Ural region there are five automatic weight and dimensional control points (APVGK), installed by Rostelecom. They are located on the regional roads Lebyazhye - Mokrousovo - Shchigry - border of the Tyumen region, "Irtysh" - Peschanotavolzhanskoye - Shadrinsk - Miasskoye, Kurgan - Zverinogolovskoye, Shadrinsk - Miasskoye and on the Tyunin highway at the entrance to Kurgan.
The system is fully automated and does not require the presence of an operator. The automatic weight and dimensional control post is connected to Rostelecom’s digital infrastructure and includes:
? U-shaped support on which sensors for measuring the overall parameters of the vehicle are installed;
? road sensors built into the asphalt concrete pavement to determine the load on the axle, the number of axles and slopes on it;
? a computing module that analyzes the measured parameters of the vehicle and transmits them to the Data Processing Center.
