The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the procedure for issuing electronic passports for self-propelled vehicles and other types of equipment as well as the procedure for the formation and maintenance of a unified register of authorized bodies organizations and vehicle manufacturers that issue electronic passports for self-propelled vehicles.For manufacturers of certain types of self-propelled vehicles that are not regulated by Union technical regulations and are not intended for use on public roads airfield vehicles self-propelled forestry mulchers snow groomers and off-road heavy vehicles the opportunity to issue electronic passports for their products in the absence of a mandatory conformity assessment document.The amendments were prepared by the Commission on the basis of proposals from the EAEU Member States and are aimed at resolving the issues of filling out electronic passports for certain types of self-propelled vehicles prior to their inclusion in the scope of the technical regulation On the safety of machinery and equipment.The decision will come into force after 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication.
