The staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continued their missions in the fight against crime maintaining public order and safety surveillance and control of the state border while also acting to prevent and manage emergencies. In the last 24 hours the operative structures intervened in 4495 events of which 2658 were limited to maintaining public order and 1837 interventions in situations of risk and for providing emergency medical care.Offenses reported or foundIn the last 24 hours 784 possible crimes were reported of which over 27 were reported ex officio. Police and gendarmes were caught red-handed by 169 perpetrators who committed 180 criminal acts. Also 15 people were tracked nationally or internationally.Following the investigative activities and the documentation of the criminal activity of some persons suspected of committing criminal acts 17 perpetrators were identified in 15 criminal cases with AN which are in evidence.Sanctions appliedDuring the missions carried out the police and the gendarmes applied over 11200 sanctions for minor offenses amounting to approximately 3.9 million lei.Also in order to achieve the objective of maintaining safety on public roads actions were taken to prevent serious traffic accidents thus seizing 747 driving licenses and 242 registration certificates for various violations of traffic on public roads.State border transitDuring yesterday the state border was crossed by 102689 people and 32601 means of transport.Undeclared goods which were to be smuggled into the country were discovered independently or in collaboration with other institutions exceeding the customs ceiling allowed or suspected to be counterfeit totaling 26097 lei.Also yesterday the border police found 5 illegal migrants for whom they ordered the necessary measures.Emergency response and rescued personsMilitary firefighters rescued two people and provided emergency medical care to 1336 people. At the same time the helicopters of the General Aviation Inspectorate carried out 8 aero-medical missions following which 6 people were rescued.In turn the police intervened to search for and rescue a lost missing person. Two other people were also rescued by mountain gendarmes. In order to apply the self-protection measures 3 warning messages were also sent to the population through the RO-ALERT system.Checks on emergency preventionIGSU employees performed over 48 emergency prevention checks which identified 8 targets that operated without a fire safety permit.They also applied 112 sanctions amounting to 21500 lei.The National Center for Integrated Management of the MIA pays attention to the operational situation at the level of the entire country in order to order the necessary measures in order to make the interventions of the MIA staff more efficient in support of the communities.
