At Innoprom-2026 in Yekaterinburg, the Chelyabinsk branch of Rostelecom entered into an agreement with South Ural State University (SUSU). The SUSU Industrial Robotics Development Center (CRDP) will act as a key contractor for the implementation of the RaaS (robot as a service) model at enterprises in the Chelyabinsk region. The digital competencies of the national telecom integrator will allow solutions to be replicated throughout the country.
Alexander Vagner, rector of SUSU:
Cooperation with Rostelecom provides an opportunity to expand: we are introducing robotic platforms, including through the robot-as-a-service model, training personnel and creating solutions that will replace foreign performers in the regions most important industries. I am confident that our union will strengthen the position of the entire country in industrial robotics.
Evgeny Makagonov, director of the Chelyabinsk branch of Rostelecom:
In the Southern Urals, robotization is a trend and growth driver. To achieve a new level of technological leadership, we are creating a collaboration between our professional team and a leading South Ural university. Joint work will help strengthen the technological sovereignty of the region and the country.
The agreement creates a framework for developing, scaling industry-leading solutions and increasing productivity. The Chelyabinsk region will receive a strategically important field for the development of domestic technologies in the field of robotization with the possibility of industrial testing at local and interregional production sites.
