Work Carried Out, As Scheduled, From 1 March To 30 June. The Infrastructural Upgrading Works On The Taranto - Potenza - Battipaglia Railway Line, Which Began Last 1 March, Have Been Completed As Scheduled, Aimed At Guaranteeing The Highest Performance Standards Of The Infrastructure, Accessibility And Speed Of Travel On The Regional And Inter-Regional Routes. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (Fs Group) Has Carried Out Infrastructural And Technological Upgrading Works As Part Of The Large Set Of Investments Underway And Financed With Pnrr Resources Necessary To Continue To Guarantee The Reliability Standards Of The Infrastructure And Ensure Greater Regularity Of The Railway Service, The Increase In Network Capacity, Benefits In Terms Of Punctuality And The Optimization Of Travel Times. Works Carried Out Interventions On The Battipaglia - Potenza Section: Renewal Of The Single Track Between The Ponte S. Cono - Franciosa And Picerno - Potenza Stations; Renewal Of The Single Track With Fast System Overail System (Platform Without Ballast) In Seven Tunnels Along The Romagnano - Tito Section; Interventions In The Contursi Station Which Include The Raising Of The First And Second Platforms And The Creation Of A Pedestrian Overpass At The Station, Eliminating The Level Crossing; Interventions In The Buccino Station With The Construction Of The Foundations Of The Overpass And The Station Shelters, Creation And Elimination Of The Level Crossing. These Activities Are Part Of The Overall Works To Renew The Infrastructure And Speed Up The Battipaglia - Potenza Line For A Total Amount Of Around 72 Million Euros (Of Which 15 Million For The Works Planned In The Contursi And Buccino Stations) And Involved 30 Economic Operators, Including Contracting Companies And Suppliers, For A Total Of 600 Operators Involved, Including Rfi Staff. Consolidation Of The Railway Embankment On The Picerno-Tito And Contursi-Sicignano Sections; Interventions To Combat Hydrogeological Instability On The Slope At The Entrance To The Iura Tunnel, Baragiano-Franciosa Section; Waterproofing And Structural Consolidation Interventions On Various Bridges And Viaducts Along The Entire Battipaglia - Potenza Line; Rail Change Interventions And Track Design On The Sections Between The Contursi And Romagnano Stations. The Overall Amount Of These Activities Amounts To Approximately 8.5 Million Euros With The Involvement Of A Total Of 70 People Including Staff From Contracting Companies And Rfi Staff. Interventions On The Grassano - Bernalda Section: Construction Of Over 2 Km Of Railway Embankment With A Height Of Up To Approximately 8 M; Foundations Of The Viaducts With Approximately 3000 Piles And 15 Plinths; Construction Of 1.5 Km Of Retaining Walls Of The Embankment Of The New Railway Route, Construction Of N. 11 Hydraulic Transparency Works; Foundations Of The Box That Will Host The New Salandra Station And The Construction Of The Building For A New Repair Road; Civil Works For The Preparation Of The Bernalda Station Underpass; Completion Of Interference Resolution Works; These Activities, With A Total Value Of Approximately 50 Million Euros And For Which Approximately 110 People Were Employed Per Day, Including Staff From Contracting Companies And Rfi Personnel, Fall Within The Scope Of The Pnrr Contract For The Grassano - Bernalda Speeding Up With A Total Amount Of Work Of Approximately 285 Million Euros And A Priority Lot Of The Broader Project To Strengthen And Speed Up The Battipaglia - Potenza - Taranto Line.
