π Tender Overview
The Permanent Commission on Economy, Finance, Commerce and Planning of the Senate reviews the documents resulting from the second reading study of the General Bill of Special Economic Zones of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
After viewing the full content of the General Bill on Special Economic Zones of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance, Commerce and Planning of the Senate, in charge of studying the second reading of this legal tool, met this Friday to review the documents resulting from the analysis of this initiative, which was submitted by the government to parliament and sent by the Chamber of Deputies to the Senate.
The documents reviewed this day by this Permanent Commission, chaired and moderated by Senator Martin Crisanto Ebe Mba, First Secretary of the Board, include the proposal to reformulate the explanatory statement, the work of which was assigned to an AD-HOC commission. Along these same lines, the senators of the Republic have reviewed the amendments, as well as the list of questions that will be posed to those responsible for the guardian department, during the Governments appearance, which would take place in the near future.
Among the amendment proposals raised by the senators, the amendment proposal consisting of expanding and developing the controls retained in article 16 of the seventh chapter stands out. This amendment is based on creating, in the sole article of the chapter, numeral one, which defines and develops transparency, and numeral two, which would define and develop control in the special economic zones.
While the concerns that would be raised to the Government were raised by the content belonging to the chapters related to governance and management, classification and creation of economic zones, incentive regime, investment regime, sustainability and social responsibility, as well as dispute resolution.
This work session has served so that the senators can ensure that the documents under review include all the observations and proposals of the Permanent Commission on Economy, Finance, Commerce and Planning of the Senate.
