To ensure safe and reliable power supply to serve the operations of Long Thanh Airport - a key project of the country, EVNSPC and Dong Nai PC proactively invested in the construction of the project Long Thanh Airport 110kV Transformer Station and connection line. The project has the scale of building a new 110kV transformer station with a capacity of 2x40MVA and a 3.8 km long connection line, with a total investment of 158 billion VND. According to the initial plan, the project will be energized in the second quarter of 2025. But with the spirit of Electricity is one step ahead, with the high efforts and determination of the construction force and leaders at all levels, especially with the support of the locality and the consensus of the people, the project was energized in phase 1 in November 2024, exceeding the set schedule. Next, phase 2 (installation of transformer T2 - 40MVA) was started in September 2025 and was successfully energized on November 24, 2025 - after less than 2 months of accelerated construction. Long Thanh 110kV transformer station was invested according to the criteria of no one on duty. The stations entire monitoring and control system is digitized, remotely controlled via the SCADA system and complies with international protocol IEC 61850. This system allows real-time monitoring of equipment status.
