The Peoples Committee of Quang Tri province has just issued a document urging relevant departments, branches, localities and units to urgently complete the conditions to organize the opening of school and put 4 primary and secondary boarding schools in border communes into operation right from the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year. The projects were started in November 2025 and required by the Provincial Peoples Committee to be put into operation in the 2026-2027 school year. These are projects identified by Quang Tri province as key projects to create better learning and living conditions for students in border areas. Among them, Huong Phung school has a total investment of nearly 360 billion VND, an area of nearly 13 hectares, meeting the learning and living needs of about 1,600 students; Dan Hoa school with a total investment of 285 billion VND, an area of about 9.67 hectares, serving about 910 students, with a vision to increase the scale to 1,485 students by 2030. Dakrong school has a scale of 36 classes, about 1,021 students, an area of 5 hectares, a total investment of 220.9 billion VND; Thuong Trach school has a scale of about 952 students, an area of 6 hectares, and a total investment of 195 billion VND. To fully ensure the necessary conditions to organize the opening of school, the Peoples Committee of Quang Tri province requires the Management Board of Investment Projects to build civil, industrial and technical infrastructure projects to closely follow the construction progress every day, striving to complete the works according to the plan and deadline. Urgently complete the procurement and installation of teaching equipment, equipment for boarding and semi-boarding, kitchens and essential household appliances in accordance with the construction progress. From August 25-30, complete installation, test run, acceptance test and handover of equipment according to regulations. At the same time, notify the Department of Education and Training, primary and secondary boarding schools of Huong Phung, Dakrong, Dan Hoa, and Thuong Trach to appoint relevant managers, teachers, and technical staff to participate in acceptance, reception, training and familiarization with the operation and use of equipment. Urgently complete the industrial cleaning work, beautify the landscape, campus, classrooms, boarding rooms, kitchen area, cafeteria, Sanitary works and auxiliary items before holding the inauguration ceremony and opening of the new school year. Mobilize additional Police, Military, and other forces of the communes to participate in cleaning support. The Department of Education and Training inspected and reviewed the Project to establish 4 primary and secondary boarding schools to ensure compliance with the overall Project for arranging public educational establishments under the Peoples Committees of the communes and current regulations to adjust accordingly according to regulations. Based on the opinions of departments, branches and branches, the Peoples Committees of Huong Phung, Dakrong, Dan Hoa and Thuong Trach communes urgently complete the operation plan for 4 schools for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
