Under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister the twenty-fourth Gulf Engineering Forum was launched today Tuesday under the title Environmental Engineering and Sustainability which is organized by the Ministry of Municipality the Gulf Engineering Union and the Qatar Society of Engineers during the period from 7-9 March 2023 at the Sheraton Doha Hotel.The opening was attended by His Excellency Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Fahad Mohammed Al-Qahtani Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality Chairman of the Committee The Supreme Organization of the Twenty-fourth Gulf Engineering Forum and Eng. Muhammad Ali Al-Khuzaie Secretary General of the Gulf Engineering Union Dr. Adel Al-Hadithi Secretary General For the Union of Arab Engineers heads of Gulf engineering societies and bodies and a number of Senior officials and specialists in the Gulf and Arab countries.said Engineer Mohammed Ali Al-Khuzaie Secretary General of the Gulf Engineering Union in his speech Editorial On this occasion the holding of the Gulf Engineering Forum this year comes after The Gulf Engineering Union has completed twenty five years since its establishment in the State of Kuwait in 1997 with concerted efforts by all engineering bodies in the GCC States Gulf Cooperation congratulating all Gulf engineers on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Union.Noted To many achievements made by the Gulf Engineering Union during the five years And the past twenty which was reflected well for the benefit of our Gulf engineers and the engineering sector in the Arabian Gulf and this was represented by the organization of twenty-four engineering forums in the countries The six Gulf countries annually and we did not stop except during the period of the worlds passage through the Covid-19 pandemic. During the aforementioned forums Gulf engineers discussed topics at the heart of their interests. And ways to develop engineering work laws and related procedures as well as follow up the latest Engineering studies with the help of senior local and international scientists and researchers in various Engineering fields. The engineers also touched on the holding of many committees and workshops Specialized to develop laws in all Gulf countries to be in line with what is in force in the rest of the world engineers contributed to their scientific opinions and views And professionalism in directing the progress of official committees towards the right track based on To their academic studies and the extensive and advanced experience they have gained in their engineering fields.Regarding Related to the theme of this years forum and conference which deals with environmental engineering and sustainability Engineers have an important role to play in promoting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
