The first application period for enrollment in the 1st year of undergraduate and unified master's study programs for the academic year 2025/26 for public higher education institutions and concessioned study programs for Slovenian and EU citizens took place from February 18 to March 18, 2025. 16,254 applications for enrollment were submitted for 18,800 enrollment places.The enrollment limit for Slovenian and EU citizens for the academic year 2025/26 is 104 study programs or fields of study and modes of study (last year 110). Data on applications and enrollment limits for the first application period for Slovenian citizens and citizens of EU countries (xlsx) These include study programs of all three academies of the University of Ljubljana (Academy of Music, Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television and Academy of Fine Arts and Design), study programs of both Faculties of Medicine (University of Ljubljana and University of Maribor), both study programs of Pharmacy (University of Ljubljana and University of Maribor), as well as other study programs in the fields of health, social security, biology, economics, electrical engineering, computer science and informatics, communication studies, psychology, law. The University of Ljubljana received 9,915 applications (first preferences) for the 9,560 places advertised - the enrollment limit is 69 study programs or majors, the University of Maribor received 3,823 applications (first preferences) for 4,744 places - the enrollment limit is 19 study programs, the University of Primorska received 1,222 applications (first preferences) for 1,613 places - the enrollment limit is 7 study programs or majors, and the Nova Univerza, the Alma Mater Europaea University, the University of Nova Gorica, the University of Novo Mesto and independent higher education institutions with a concession received 1,209 applications (first preferences) for 2,443 places - the enrollment limit is 9 study programs or majors. Candidates will receive the results of the first round of the selection procedure electronically via the eVS portal by 25 July 2025, and the enrolment of those accepted will take place at higher education institutions from 25 July to 14 August 2025 at the latest. The second application period will take place from 20 to 27 August 2025. Information on the remaining vacancies for the second application period will be published on 19 August 2025 on the eVS web portal and on the websites of higher education application and information services.
